On 22/23 March, 2009, six potential candidates for membership of APGAI – Ireland attended a Casting Instructors’ Workshop
which was held at The Loughs Agency in Londonderry.
The weekend included classroom-based theory seminars as well as outdoor practical casting and fault diagnosis sessions.
APGAI – Ireland Instructors in attendance were Liam Duffy, Peter O’Reilly and Packy Trotter.
Tom Woods co-ordinated the event and Arthur Greenwood was the Course Facilitator.
Our thanks go to Lionel Knobbs and The Loughs Agency for making available their superb facilities over the weekend.

Feedback from candidates at the end of the workshop was extremely positive and everyone enjoyed it immensely, despite now knowing
that they have a mountain of hard work and practice to accomplish before presenting themselves for assessment later in the year!
